Kupes Young Women’s Network will be hosting its second annual Conference on Saturday, 23rd September 2017 at Hotel Intercontinental Hotel in Lusaka under the theme 

“WHY AM I HERE – Unlocking Your Personal Journey.”

The Kupes Conference falls under the Leadership and Motivation seminars at the Network and is targeting young women from all walks of life between the ages of 17 – 30years. 200 young women attended the conference in 2016 and the target this year is 300 including the Copperbelt members.

The conference will tackle various issues that our youth are battling with in this diverse and competitive world. Hence the theme which is a follow up from last years “WHO AM I – understanding your purpose.”

Why the Network

KUPES Young Women’s Network believes that girls and young women possess huge untapped potential. When educated, healthy, and equipped with the right skills and opportunities, they hold the key to unlocking many of the communities’ most challenging problems such as: reducing poverty, catalyzing communities’ social and economic development, and ending violence against women, among many others. As inspired, motivated and empowered women, they will invest in the survival, education, and success of the next generation. As leaders of today and tomorrow, they can be a force for social change.

Speakers

Caroline Marsh

Caroline Marsh is one of Britain’s leading female property investors and an inspiration to thousands.

In Autumn 2008 Caroline was catapulted into the media limelight, when she was featured on prime-time Channel 4 television as a philanthropic ‘Secret Millionaire’ Caroline is currently making a name for herself in the media as an inspirational speaker and Entrepreneur’s Angel, combining family life with a rapidly expanding Property and Mentoring businesses.

Caroline is Chairman and CEO of Caroline Marsh International, Kingdom Property Lettings, Founder of Concept to Cash mentoring program, founder of GEM Women Alliance, Exceeding Grace Developments.

A Mother of 3 and a Wife “My mission is to Inspire, Educate, and Empower Aspiring Entrepreneurs to turn their passion to profits. I want to show people who have the drive and hunger to change their lives for the better, that the power to create lies within them”. God designed us to be like him, create and rule our world. Caroline regularly speaks at global and national conferences and Business start-up show, Franchise exhibitions and many seminars alongside some of Britain’s top business brains including Dragons’ Den stars Peter Jones and James Caan, and the inventor of the World Wide Web, Tim Berners Lee. Caroline has since Established Global business mentoring programs for both Starts up and Small to Medium sized Enterprises (“Concept to Cash in 90 Days” and “The Mastermind Alliance”). These global programs are designed to equip Aspiring Entrepreneurs and business owners with necessary skills, tools and proven strategies on how to establish a successful business using tested proven strategies.

Sonny Zulu

Sonny is the Head of Retail Banking for Standard Chartered Bank Zambia and for Southern Africa. He took up senior leadership responsibilities at a very young age and he has held a number of senior executive roles in the Bank which include; Head of Retail Clients, General Manager for Distribution for Zambia and Southern Africa and Head of Corporate Affairs.

As an entrepreneur, Sonny is a joint owner of Air Mafuta Aviation services. He founded this company in 2009 together with two other Directors. The company supplies aviation fuel to both local and international clients.

In recognition of leadership skills and capabilities, Sonny was recently appointed as the Board Chairperson of the National Technology Business Centre which was established by Statutory Instrument number 136 of 1999.

Sonny holds an MBA from Manchester Business School and he also has a degree in Metallurgy and Mineral Processing from the University of Zambia.  He is married to Ngosa and he has three sons – Joshua, Josiah and Joel.

Outside the work arena, Sonny enjoys traveling, astronomy, natural history and following latest natural and science discoveries.

Ms Bridget Kambobe

Ms. Bridget Kambobe is a Transformer, Speaker, Social Entrepreneur, Life and Business Coach and Author with a vision to help individuals, communities and organizations overcome limitation and grow into full potential through Identity.

She is currently running her life purpose enterprise, Bridge Mark, by facilitating transformation in the 7 pillars of transforming society being; Family, Business, Religion, Education, Government, Media, Arts, and Entertainment.

Being a Public Relations and Business consultant, she is a multi-skilled individual who has worked in different dynamic industries including telecommunication and has gained vast experience in which she achieved great success. Ms Bri is a Media Proprietor and Social Entrepreneur. She envisions developing systems products and services that help the under privileged transcend their self-imposed limits to a productive life.

She is a personal and institutional branding expert, budding personal development coach with a strong belief in transforming potential to tangible results through her innovative “Mindset Makeovers”. She uses her extensive knowledge of human motivation to educate, inform and inspire her audiences to full and highest potential.

Ms. Bri is a paradigm shifter, ground breaker, outside the box thinker, relationship builder, an innovator and refreshingly electrifying and engaging speaker that keeps her audiences captivated, at the edge of their seats, and wanting more.

 

Mzilikazi Themba Khumalo

Mzilikazi Themba Khumalo is a blue-chip international marketing professional with strong local South African capability, specializing in brand strategy and business integration; marketing strategy and execution; ICT regulation; and, entrepreneurial ventures. He has an illustrious marketing track record with blue chip companies such as Unilever, Coca-Cola, MTN, Cell C, South African Tourism and Telkom and is currently building financial services brand, Atlas Mara, across the African continent. He is renowned for his ability to think strategically and also translate strategy into in-market execution and results in success.

Among his many achievements are the launch of Coca-Cola Light into the South African market; the creation, launch, and growth of the Cell C brand; the development, launch and global rollout of the South African Tourism brand; the creation of Telkom’s infrastructure brand, OpenServe and the turn-around of the Telkom brand.

Rev Khumalo is also an author and emerging filmmaker. He has written and published two books – “From Spirit To Body” and “Premarital Due Diligence” – and has written and developed scripts for feature film and television drama series, “The Chosen” which is in commercialization phase.

Having gone through three years of bible school and 8 years of practical ministry, Rev Khumalo is a recognized pastor of Alleluia Ministries International where he is also a member of the International Executive Committee and serves under the General Overseer, Pastor Alph Lukau.

Rev Khumalo holds a B.A. Law degree from the University of Swaziland; Masters Certificates in Marketing and Organizational Behaviour from Edinburgh Business School; is currently completing his thesis for the MA in ICT Policy and Regulation from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is also a graduate of Rhema Bible College.

Rev Khumalo is the founder and managing partner of The Innerman Corporation, a content, communications and coaching practice; as well as Digiventures, a telecommunications infrastructure, digital distribution and business consulting practice.

Rev Khumalo is married to Nonhlanhla Khumalo. They have five children.

Rose Sibisi

Rose Sibisi is the Founder of StylewithRoseS – a pan-african media and lifestyle brand. Rose is professionally a qualified customer communications management specialist and customer services trainer. She has over 23 years corporate experience at middle and senior management level from 8 global multinational companies: DHL: Multichoice: Telecel (MTN): Herbalife: Sony: Samsung: BMW SA: as well as Charities Aid Foundation SA, a global Non-Profit Organisation. Her professional experience has been established in 2 fast-growing and evolving business environments of Southern Africa – Zambia and South Africa.

Her various management roles always entailed managing projects geared at building sustainable relationships with selected and targeted corporates and communities. Many key projects were facilitated through Charities Aid Foundation SA. She facilitated Employee Volunteering ventures on behalf of corporate organisations to NPO’s in the key disadvantaged areas in South Africa such as Soweto, Diepsloot, Thembisa, Alexandra, Johannesburg inner city, Durban, Cape Town such as Gugulethu, Khayelitsha and many more.

She was Project manager for Vodacom Change the world Project and conducted due diligence on selected NPO’s and visited more than 40 NPOs in all the 9 provinces of SA in 2011-2012. This gave her exposure and a detailed understanding of all the different NPO sectors in South Africa as a whole as well as the challenges faced with managing these NPO’s to reach the less fortunate.

The inspiration of StylewithRoseS comes from her personal belief and experiences; that each one of us was born gifted with unique aspects in our identity that are meant to inspire others into their purpose. StylewithRoseS focuses on these unique aspects and showcases the achieving
sides of individuals through a media talkshow that airs on Dstv Zambezi Magic Channel 160.

Rose has a world class understanding of quality service delivery; she is a memorable and excellent facilitator, MC and Public speaker with exceptional wit that connects with audiences she presents to.

She holds a PR Cert: Business Management qualification from WITS University SA (MAP); a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing-U.K (CIM) (Process) and a Six Sigma BlackBelt in Project Management.

Wezi Muyembe Njovu

Business development coordinator at Kwenta Media – South Africa with comprehensive experience in Sales and Marketing, fashion and pageants, Wezi has managed to develop her brand, contribute to the fashion Industry in Zambia and maintain consistency in the cooperate space. Wezi is also PR specialist for the Zambia Fashion Week and the founder and president of U- Lead Image Builders an Organization that has its focus on teenagers, she believes that Teenagers and women are the citizens that mostly need motivation and encouragement.

With a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Marketing, her passion for fashion and focus on positive personal image and personal branding, Wezi has done workshops on Fashion and Personal Image in countries like Mauritius, South Africa, Swaziland, and Zambia. Wezi also enjoys writing and has done articles for Kairos media, Essays of Africa, Trans-National Business, New Era and Owami women. One of Wezi’s goals is to teach women and teenagers the importance of self-confidence and Positive personal image.  Married with 2 boys she believes nothing on earth is impossible if only you believe in yourself, stay focused, determined and ready. The world is a playground for those willing to step out.
